Turkey Creek Ph 2 - Interceptor


6:59am- additional pump is now onsite and will be moved to where existing pump is currently at. 

Wrapping and strapping on E6 will also occur this morning. 

8:41am- both pumps running and reset. Rock breaking occurring now. 

9:57am- rebar bottom half cage going in as pipe is laid. 

11:11am- 2 joints laid now with bottom cages placed. 

1:30pm- 3 joints with cages now placed. 

1:57pm- 4th and final with cages placed as tying of cages together and cross pieces being epoxied into rock occurring. 

2:33pm- concrete is now going on pipe and cages. 

3:08pm- chinking in the concrete. 

3:50pm- double checking to ensure grade of pipe is good. 

5:20pm- 72yds of concrete has been placed and we are not quite half way across the creek. This will end the day.

7:33am- crew will be testing line from E46-E47 today first thing. Test will begin shortly.  8:03am- line now on test from E46 - E47. Approximately 68 min test.  9:10am- lune passes air test from E46-E47.  9:45am- MH E46 passes vacuum test.  11:25am- crew now testing line from E48-E47. Approximately 25 min test.  12:10pm- line from E48-E47 passes air test.  12:16pm- MH E47 passes vacuum test.  1:05pm- line now on test from E48- E49. Approximately 70 min test.  2:18pm- line passes air test from E48-E49.  2:35pm- MH E48 passes vacuum test.  4:08pm- through bleeding off the air from the line test and test balls, crew is picking up on possible sewer gases. They are investigating downstream to MH E1 where the air up ball is placed to ensure it is sealed up against the pipe, thus preventing and sewer has to travel up the line.  No more testing to be done today.

7:20am- equipment will be moving back up to MH E44 area to begin line work again today.  8:68am- crew still moving materials closer to MH E44 area.   9:45am- tops and covers going on manholes previously set as they climb towards MH E44.  10:50am- now back to digging upstream of MH E44. 11:19am- 1st joint of pipe for today so far! 11:56am- 2nd joint getting gravel.  1:15pm- #3.  2:23pm- more gravel is getting moved closer to area of work.  2:41pm- 5th joint so far getting gravel.  3:31pm- digging for #7 now.  3:50pm- gravel going on #7.  5:00pm- went to lower field on Rittenhouse to look at dirt leveled out last week near MH A6. Owner not happy. Wants more work to be done says it dry enough… After driving through it.  Sent picture to FlatCreek so that they can schedule it this week hopefully.
