3439_Turkey Creek PH2 Interceptor

7:02am- crew will be moving riprap around near MH’s 18-24 this morning while waiting on rock to be delivered to the end of Carlton so that pipe laying can continue. Brush will also be getting pulled up and piled in roadway from MH’s 35-40 so that it can be burned.   9:55am- slow day so far… 10:43am- back to digging today. 11:28am- 1st joint placed and now digging out for MH E45.  12:56am- joint #2 goes in. A short 5’ section of pipe will tie into manhole.  2:15pm- MH E45 is set and line is lamped by laser back to MH E44.  3:33pm- 1st joint now laid upstream of MH E45.  4:10pm- joint 2 now out of MH E45 for a total of 4 full joints so far today.  4:42pm- 5th full joint for today going in. This will round out the day as crew will go downhill to load a bad manhole up and take it to the top. 

7:20am- equipment will be moving back up to MH E44 area to begin line work again today.  8:68am- crew still moving materials closer to MH E44 area.   9:45am- tops and covers going on manholes previously set as they climb towards MH E44.  10:50am- now back to digging upstream of MH E44. 11:19am- 1st joint of pipe for today so far! 11:56am- 2nd joint getting gravel.  1:15pm- #3.  2:23pm- more gravel is getting moved closer to area of work.  2:41pm- 5th joint so far getting gravel.  3:31pm- digging for #7 now.  3:50pm- gravel going on #7.  5:00pm- went to lower field on Rittenhouse to look at dirt leveled out last week near MH A6. Owner not happy. Wants more work to be done says it dry enough… After driving through it.  Sent picture to FlatCreek so that they can schedule it this week hopefully. 

7:11am- rock will be hauled in first thing to prep sub grade of ditch line onto MH E13.  7:45am- 2” clean rock will be placed in ditch once more material is removed.  9:35am- bench is having to be cut back so that pipe can be slid in far enough to join main line once last joint is placed.  10:54am- more flowline bench will be removed in order for the pipe to enter further in for main line connection.  11:30am- pipe is now joined to MH E13 and main line.  Essentially, 4 joints were used for tie in total. 2 yesterday and two today.  Line is also lamped by laser back to MH E12.  12:00pm- backfill will now occur.  1:17pm- crew lights a brush pile on fire at this time.  2:37pm- dozer work being done to get things cleaned up jere at MH E13 area.  3:07pm- crew is going to call it a day. Equipment is moved back to south end of project where pipe laying will begin Monday!

Line flushing will be finishing up today, and more cleanup will occur.  7:23am- cleanup at MH E20 is underway this morning.  More rock removed at MH 14.  1:00pm- flushing of the line is now completed and crew will now move back to MH E13 area to tie in pipe. Cleanup is almost done now up to MH 23.  2:39pm- back on line now at MH E13 to get pipe tied together.  3:32pm- grading gravel.  3:53pm- 1st joint now in place. 3+ joints to go to reach MH E13.  4:02pm- bank cabe in! 4:48pm- 2nd joint placed for today and this will end the day. Bigger rock to stabilize grade closer to manhole E13 will be hauled in in the morning. 

Crew will continue with getting line flushed today here from MH 18 on to MH 13.  8:54am- pump is moved to MH E17 and is currently filling the line down to MH E16.  12:31pm- more rock has been evacuated from line here at MH E16. Pump issues now occurring though. 2:21pm- with only having one pump now, the crew fills the line at MH 17 and then takes pump down to MH 13 to pump the water out from the flushing of the line. Slow process today! 4:14pm- pump is back at MH 13 now for last flushing of the day.
