3439_Turkey Creek PH2 Interceptor

-No work today due to rain. 

7:09am- Digging for MH E42 will continue this morning.  9:15am- MH E42 is now set with an eight foot piece of pipe tying to the main line.  Line is also lamped by laser back to MH E41.  10:19am- 1st joint now placed upstream of MH E42.  -11:23am: steady rain begins.  11:37am- crew calling it a day. 3 joints set above manhole E42 today. 

-Met Dennis first thing this morning at the access 3 gate on Rittenhouse to show him what needed to be done there.  7:37am- rock breaking occurring now. No pipe laid yet. Crew should possibly make it to MH E42 today.  8:44am- 1st joint of the day is placed as hammer is getting put back on to break more rock.  9:58am- #3 getting gravel.  11:16am- #5 is in. More gravel to be placed.  1:00pm- grading out for 8th joint now! 2:32pm- Joint #11 going in. 4:20pm- crew has laid 14 joints today. MH E42 will be dug out next to round out the day. 

6:58am- crew is back this morning to lay more pipe and set MH E41 today.  7:32am- rock is encountered so Jack hammer is back on.  8:30am- 2 joins are now placed this morning.  9:42am- 4th in working on #5.  10:42am- 5th joint is placed and MH E41 is getting graded out for setting.  11:30am- MH E41 is now set with a 13’ piece of pipe tying it to the line.  Line is also lamped by laser back to MH E40.  1:45pm- alignment to MH E42 is complete and the 2nd joint out of E41 is getting gravel. 8 joints laid so far today.  3:10pm- manholes are being unloaded here at site today.  4:16pm- 12 joints of pipe laid so far now.  5:05pm- crew will get joint 15 for today. 

11:35am- crew has laid 5 joints so far this morning and looking like rock will need broke out again.  1:03pm- 6th joint is in with hard pan being scrapped down for #7.  3:06pm- #9 is now in place! 4:34pm- crew has now laid 12.5 joints today. They are calling it a day!

7:11am- Crew is back today to lat more pipe and get MH E40 set.  8:33am- 2 joints have now been placed this morning.  10:03an- 5 joints now placed and digging for MH E40 is next.  11:10am- grade is checked at MH E40. 2” low.  11:50am- MH E40 is now tied to line with a 12’ piece of pipe.  Line is lamped back to E39.   This picture is from MH E39 looking downstream to MH E38 today. I forgot to post it yesterday.  1:57pm- 1st joint placed upstream of E40 now.  3:34pm- 3rd joint upstream of E40 almost ready to go in for a total of 10 joints so far today.  4:29pm- joint 11 goes in.  5:05pm- high rock is encountered. Jack hammer will be put on for first thing in the morning. 

7:15am- crew will finish digging out for MH E39 first thing this morning.  8:20am- crew messes up a gasket on the last pipe laid yesterday. They will dig it out and replace the pipe now.  9:56am- joint of pipe is now replaced and crew cuts pipe to fit at manhole connection to line.  -10:00am: meet with Tom Head and Terry Snowden on Ph 2 under the bridge to discuss some issues still on Ph 1 and additional concerns on PH 2.  12:37pm- MH E39 is set and tied to line now with two joints s now placed upstream of it.  2:18pm- #7 joint of pipe going for the day so far now.  4:40pm- Joint #11 is in with gravel going in for #12  to round out the day here.
