3439_Turkey Creek PH2 Interceptor

7:00am- crew will prepare to pour concrete on encasement at STA 85+00 this morning.  8:19am- still awaiting concrete. MH E31 getting lid placed on it.  8:53am- concrete begins.  9:53am- slow process today… 10:49am- about 20’ or so to go! 11:58am- more concrete has arrived as crew continues with the encasement.  1:00pm- encasement is now finished to 70’ of the required 80’. 1:54pm- one excavator back digging to breakout rock and the other protecting the pipe from falling boulders.  2:30pm- rain begins! 2:46pm- crew calling it a day due to rain. 

Crew to finish tying cages and should place pipe with bottom cage today.  9:01am- back to digging now as crew gravels for next run of pipe on encasement at STA 88+50.  10:25am- 1st joint out of MH E32 placed with bottom section of cage under it. Pipe in background is being used as a water diversion over ditch.  12:20pm- 3 joints of pipe now in place with cages under them.  MH’s E30 and E31 getting wrapped and strapped today also.  1:15pm- top sections of cages going on over pipe now.  2:30pm- crew will get about 70’ of cage in and then place concrete in the morning. The last 10’ will go in after a wall of rock is broke out for MH E33.  3:40pm- 5th joint laid today with the last bit of cage getting ready to go in to cover it.  4:40pm- last top cage is on and backfill will round out the day along with some roadwork. 

Crew to set MH E32 today.  8:39am- Manhole bases are being unloaded from haul truck first thing this morning… 10:02am- now rebar is being unloaded for encasement that will be built.  11:02am- crew setting MH E32.  11:50am- manhole E32 now connected with a 12’ piece of pipe.  Line is also lamped back to MH E31.  1:24pm- MH E32 is stacked out and alignment to next manhole is underway.  2:30pm- rebar is now getting tied for cages.  3:22pm- two halves almost built.  4:37pm- 4 halves now built and they will riund out the day on the 5th. 

7:09am- crew will begin laying more pupe today and set MH E32.  8:05am- breaking rock first thing! 9:07am- 1st joint going in.  10:26am- more rock breaking occurring again.  11:31am- 2nd joint now in as rock breaking will continue. No blasting occurred in this location. Breaking 6’ to 7’ of rock out.  12:51pm- preparing to remove broken rock from MH E32 location now.  1:40pm- excavator digging to try and find shot ditch leaving MH E32 area.  2:59pm- crew is preparing to call it a day. MH E32 will wait to be set on Monday hopefully. A lot of rock had to be broke out today.

7:45am- gravel is done at MH E31 as crew will level-it up and set the base section next.  9:41am- MH E31 is now set and rock is getting broke out for first joint of pipe to be laid.  Line is lamped back to MH E30 also.  12:03pm- 2 joints now placed upstream of MH E31.  1:56pm- 5 joints now placed so far.  3:03pm- joint #6 getting gravel.  16:02pm- 7th joint in digging for 8th one today.  MH E30 also being wrapped at this time.  4:43pm- graveling #8 now. This will wind up the day with backfill to occur.
