3439_Turkey Creek PH2 Interceptor

Crew to lay more pipe today just upstream of MH E30.  12:49pm- crew has laid 5 joints of pipe so far today as digging continues.  1:35pm- rock had to be broke as pump is now being moved on up in the ditch.  2:47pm- 7 joints are now placed as more rock will need broke out now.  4:03pm- #8 is in place as pump is being moved again to allow for digging at MH E31 location.  4:53pm- still digging out for MH E31. Thia will round out the day here. 

7:05am- crew will be laying pipe today from approximately 126’ upstream of MH E29. Equipment is being brought back down from top area this morning.  8:50am- crew is now w dug out for 1st joint placement, but pump will be moved first to continue pumping water before gravel goes in.  9:18am- 1st joint of the day getting gravel.  10:37am- 2nd joint goes in…slow day. Awaiting tracer wire to be delivered now. 12:07pm- 3rd joint of the day getting gravel.  1:04pm- digging out for MH E30.  3:04pm- MH E30 going in with 8 feet of pipe to tie it into the 3 joints laid so far today.  3:23pm- line is lamped by laser back to MH E29.  4:44pm- 1st joint out of MH E30 now.  4:55pm- pump has ran out of fuel. Crew will make area passable so fuel can get to pump. This will round out the day. 

Only clearing to occur today between rain showers. No pipe will be laid today. 

11:25am- crew has MH E29 staked and aligned for next run from MH E28. 2joints placed so far today.  11:40am- 3rd joint being placed.  12:50pm- 4th joint now placed.  1:35pm- 5th joint now placed.  MH E29 getting lid set also at this time.  2:20pm- 7th joint goes in.  3:17pm- 8th joint getting gravel.  3:54pm- 9th joint for the day! 4:07pm- crew will backfill rest of the pipe and call it a day. Equipment will be walked up to top so service’s can be done on them tomorrow. 

7:15am- crew will be back laying pipe and breaking rock again today once equipment is all fueled up.  7:55am- dug out and rock breaking begins... 8:30am- brush piles are getting burned today. 9:06am- 1st joint of the day being placed.  9:50am- 2nd joint going in.  10:33am- 3rd joint now in place.  11:31am- dug out for E29 MH now.  12:55pm- MH E29 is now set. No more manhole stakes upstream, so crew will haul pipe down and do cleanup work to round out their day.  MH E29. A look up stream to creek crossing. 

7:10am- Rock breaking continues today just upstream of MH E28.  Dirt is also getting moved around onsite.  8:00am- bucket going back on to dig out broken rock.  9:43am- 1st joint + 6’ is now placed as gravel awaits placement on short piece.  11:08am- grading rock for the 3rd full joint for today.  12:37pm- making grade for 4th full joint for today.  3:16pm- working on getting enough rock for setting #6 for today.  4:10pm- the 6th full joint is now getting gravel.  More rock to be broke rest of the day. 

7:03am- water to be pumped down and gravel placed for blocks so encasement to be done today as MH E27 is approached.  8:26am- more rock breaking occurred and gravel grade going in for rest of pipe on encasement section.  9:07am- encasement is ready concrete! Also at this time MH E27 is getting wrapped and strapped.  11:35am- concrete has now made it to the site! 11:53am- 1 bit of concrete now placed. More loads to follow.  12:35pm- concrete encasement now completed.  2:06pm- MH E28 is now set and line is lamped back to E27.  3:14pm- transit aligned to next manhole E28 as rock breaking occurs again.  4:04pm- changing back out to dig bucket.  4:34pm- alignment of 3rd full joint for today being the 1st out of MH E28.  Bedding going on pipe. Total pipe today is 51’ with the 9’ section tying into MH E28.  4:46pm- rock is high and will need to be broke some more for next joint. This will round out the day.
